Snowy Owls are back in Wisconsin for the winter

Snowy Owls that spend their summer in the arctic, then move to Southern Canada and the Northern United States for the winter. Wisconsin has been seeing more Snowy Owls over the past few years. Large open areas that resemble the arctic are great places to spot a Snowy Owl. Horicon Marsh, ore wildlife areas like the Horicon Marsh would be good owl spotting areas. Near Lake Michigan is another place to watch for them. The Lake Express Ferry Terminal has also been reported to be a great spot for the owls.
